Chaque édition est une œuvre unique, sonore et visuelle, où créations plastiques et musicales s'influencent, s'interpellent et s'élucident mutuellement.
Résolument orienté vers l'exploration des sonorités et des expressions plastiques singulières, MONOGRAPH offre aux créateurs une occasion de se rencontrer et d'expérimenter leurs pratiques et leurs esthétiques, de sonder leurs langages, les réinventer ou en défricher les périphéries.
Chaque objet naît d’une collaboration inédite entre un artiste et un musicien. S'il leur appartient d'inventer leurs modalités de collaboration, elles se structureront toujours en fonction du support et du format du vinyle qui, cadre de départ commun à toutes les collaborations, se veut la traduction unique de chacune d'entre-elles.
MONOGRAPH releases original, single-copy records with artist-made jackets. Each release is a unique visual and auditory creation and the result of mutual influence, challenge and elucidation between artistic and musical production. Resolutely oriented towards the exploration of electronic sound and singular artistic expression, MONOGRAPH offers creators an opportunity to meet and experiment with their practices and their aesthetics, to explore each other’s languages, to reinvent them and to push their peripheries.
Each object is born from an unprecedented collaboration between an artist and a musician. It is up to them to invent their modes of collaboration, structured around the format and function of a record, which, as the starting framework common to all collaborations, becomes the unique form of their transmission.
